Plain was born out of a desire to create a comfortable sofa for different people. It was designed to reveal its true character as it is used.<\/p>\n

Everyone sits differently. We are all different heights, have different body types, and our own way of sitting.<\/p>\n

Plain adapts to these differences. That is why the cushions are loose: they adjust the depth and fine-tune the support. There is an intuitive relationship between the body and the object.<\/p>\n

The ordinary can be surprising when it is very well made. And it can be incredibly powerful when it feels familiar and essential.<\/p>\n

Natural materials \u2014 solid wood, linen or cotton \u2014 are the most pleasing to the eye and to the touch.
