Three ways to work with us

Start with what the project needs.

01

Order from the catalogue

Specify a Boa Safra product in its standard dimensions, materials and finishes. The collection is ready to order for residential, hospitality and workplace projects.

02

Adapt a piece

Adjust dimensions, materials and finishes. Add a detail or ask us to develop a new feature when the space, use or design intent requires it.

03

Propose a collaboration

Bring a product idea, a particular need or a new way of working together. The proposal may lead to a piece developed for the Boa Safra collection.

The collection

Straight from the catalogue, when it fits the project.

Tables, seating, beds and storage can be specified and ordered as presented: a direct route from selection to production.

Customisation

When the product needs a small adjustment to fit the project.

Dimensions, materials, finishes and details can be reviewed while preserving the coherence of the design.

01

Dimensions

Length, width and height can be reviewed where the design, materials and ergonomics allow it.

02

Materials

Choose from sustainable woods, textiles, stone, cork and ceramic, as appropriate to the piece.

03

Finishes

Select tone, texture and natural finish through samples prepared for approval. Boa Safra’s experience with natural finishes brings out the colour, grain, texture and scent of each material.

04

Add-ons & new features

Introduce a functional detail or ask the design team to develop a feature required by the project.

Terra at MUDE Store

Designed by Miguel Saboya, Terra brings together simple geometries, solid wood and traditional joinery. Concave seating surfaces follow the body. The wood keeps the marks of making and develops character through use. Pieces made in solid acacia are also suited to outdoor living. Terra can now be found at the MUDE Design Museum Store in Lisbon.

Solid wood knowledge

Solid wood rewards knowledge.

Material selection, joinery, construction and finishing determine how a piece feels, performs and ages.

Boa Safra combines design expertise with experienced Portuguese cabinetmakers. Wood is selected for its purpose, joints are resolved for strength and longevity, and natural finishes keep the grain, texture and warmth of the material present. The result is furniture that uses solid wood for what it does best: last, age and gain character through use.
