Miguel Saboya

Miguel Saboya is a Lisbon based Brazilian designer working with traditional woodwork and joinery. His practice centres on the physical understanding of materials and the time each piece requires.

developed a close relationship with the country’s craft heritage. This experience continues to shape his work, alongside references carried from Brazil.

His pieces often begin with familiar objects. Forms already present in daily life are reconsidered through proportion, weight, and material, gaining a quieter, more permanent presence.

For Boa Safra, Miguel designed the TERRA collection. The work reflects a clear structural logic, an attention to durability, and a continued use of traditional techniques that remain relevant through use.
