Project
Outcome

A family wanted to organize and work on the living room environment. Several areas needed to coexist in the same space: a sitting area, a dining area, and two daily-use workstations, subtly integrated into the living room. In addition to the need for storage for books and CDs, there was also the challenge of “hiding” an electric piano, printer, and computer.

For the kitchen, it was important to have a small dining area, so the storage and cooking areas were compacted into one of the available walls, leaving the other free for the dining area. There was only a tall cabinet for storing the ironing board, other utensils, and a wine rack, with a small shelf for a coffee machine.

Besides the use of wood, the clients’ preferred material, the use of white was important to reflect light and enhance the brightness of both spaces. The tables and chairs had to be easy to maintain and clean, as these are spaces used frequently by the whole family.
