The Visionaire Apartments in Praça da Figueira reimagine the 16th-century merchants’ house—where hardwoods, tapestries, tiles, and pottery blend Portuguese heritage with African and Asian influences.

Block Bookcase

Redesigned for The Visionaires Apartments in Old Lisbon, is crafted entirely from solid pinewood, a material deeply rooted in Portugal’s craftsmanship heritage.

Outcome

In the living room, Block Bookcase was customized to frame the global narrative. Crafted in humble pine, it stands in quiet contrast to the richness of the collection it holds. Asymmetry disrupts uniformity, allowing select objects to emerge—turning a functional piece into a display of time and travel.

In the bedroom, the Benjamim Canopy Bed brings a sense of quiet elegance. With a dark olive natural finish, it evokes the warmth of ancient chambers while remaining minimal and contemporary. A custom-upholstered headboard softens its presence, creating a refined yet understated retreat.
