The Benjamin line for children was based on pedagogical principles regarding children’s autonomy since infancy. The cradle and the bed allow the child to safely get on and off, after a certain age. The bench stimulates the child to play, draw and paint. Underneath it wooden boxes with toys, pencils and paper can be stored, as well as a little chair. These boxes are beautiful and portable and can be taken to the living room or the office, so that children can play next to (or with) their parents. Children’s furniture doesn’t have to be full of vibrant colours or figurative shapes. Books, toys and drawings play that role. Children’s furniture should be easy to understand and use and it should provide the tactile sensations of natural materials.
