Tanho is a traditional Portuguese stool that belongs to the collective heritage and identity of the people of Santarém.
Tanho is a traditional Portuguese stool that belongs to the collective heritage and identity of the people of Santarém. It’s made from a natural fibre extracted from an indigenous plant. Common club-rush is a type of reed that grows on the edges of lakes and streams and acts as a natural filter that extracts pollutants found in watercourses. Tanho's are made by local artisans. Good design is sustainable.
